Software Engineer

About the Company

Roadrunner is replacing broken CPQ software with a new agentic stack called PQA (Prompt, Quote, Approve). Backed by Kleiner Perkins, the team is led by second-time founders and composed of engineers from Snowflake, Databricks, Citadel, Meta, and Robinhood.

Responsibilities

• Own the product end-to-end across core systems to build fast, reliable, and delightful tools for AEs.
• Design and deploy proactive AI agents that handle quoting, deal modeling, and complex multi-step workflows.
• Build enterprise-scale workflow engines powering approval flows for multibillion-dollar transactions with millisecond-level response times.
• Work directly with users to close feedback loops and iterate quickly based on real pain points.

Requirements

• Track record of building and shipping great products end-to-end.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with an understanding of speed vs. quality tradeoffs.
• High autonomy and a builder's mindset.
• Clear, direct communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate for an in-person team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
• Familiarity with agent tooling, eval frameworks, or RAG pipelines.
• Experience as a founder or early engineer.
• Prior experience working directly with customers or external stakeholders on technical projects.
