Responsibilities

  • Amplify and accelerate research efficiency through agentic workflows and proactive solutions
  • Steward the long-term development and maintenance of the core codebase
  • Establish and implement software engineering best practices in the machine learning domain
  • Lead the transition of research codebases to highly scalable and robust engineering standards
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation for research infrastructure
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate research breakthroughs into real-world impact
  • Build and own the testing layer, including CI and contract tests, to ensure research changes do not break engineering interfaces

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with ML or data-intensive backends
  • Strong software architecture skills including modular design and clean interfaces
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and deep familiarity with PyTorch
  • Hands-on experience with modern ML research tech stack and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Weights & Biases, Datadog, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions)
  • Proven track record in developing solutions for robustness and quality assurance
  • Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD for machine learning, and Terraform
  • Experience in early-stage, fast-paced startup environments
  • Background or interest in tabular data, data engineering, or enterprise data architecture
  • Proficiency in Rust, C++, or Go
  • Contributions to open-source machine learning libraries
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a STEM field
