Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve core robot control software in C++
• Own system-level orchestration in Python, integrating subsystems across the platform
• Build and enhance simulation and testing infrastructure to support system validation
• Work across the full stack as needed to address the highest-priority technical bottlenecks
• Collaborate closely with ML, hardware, and clinical teams to deliver end-to-end product functionality
• Help define, refine, and harden the software architecture in preparation for IDE submission and clinical use

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building non-trivial production software in system-level domains (robotics, embedded systems, medical devices, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python
• Advanced proficiency with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor)
• Strong systems engineering intuition (concurrency, real-time constraints, IPC)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotics middleware (ROS2, gRPC/protobuf)
• Experience with real-time Linux systems
• Exposure to motion control systems or control theory
• Proficiency in TypeScript and frontend development
• Experience in medical devices or regulated software environments (IEC 62304)
• Experience with simulation infrastructure (MuJoCo, Gazebo)
