Software Engineer, Real Time

Responsibilities

• Design and build development and production platforms that power real-time systems
• Partner with researchers, engineers, product managers, and designers to bring new features to life
• Accelerate engineering productivity by providing excellent tooling and systems
• Build and provide operational support for globally deployed systems, including participating in an on-call rotation

Requirements

• Significant experience building and scaling production systems
• Experience with real-time communication (RTC) products and systems
• Proficiency with WebRTC or similar protocols, including audio/video encoding, decoding, and signaling
• Strong full-stack development skills
• Ability to own problems end-to-end and a willingness to learn new technologies as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Machine Learning techniques
• Background as a startup founder or early-stage engineer
