Software Engineer, R&D Platforms

Responsibilities

• Build software-hardware interface tools and test automation frameworks for lab equipment and prototype hardware
• Create software interfaces to collect, process, store, and visualize engineering test data
• Develop Python-based workflows for data acquisition, analysis, and automated reporting
• Debug software, instrumentation, networking, and hardware-in-the-loop issues in lab environments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Physics, etc.)
• 4+ years of experience in engineering software, R&D, lab automation, or hardware integration
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and C++

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hardware interfaces (sensors, controllers, DAQ systems, serial communication)
• Proficiency with Python scientific tools like NumPy, pandas, and SciPy
• Experience in safety-critical or high-consequence engineering environments (aerospace, nuclear, defense)
