Software Engineer (Python)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in the design, development, and implementation of quality solutions to resolve complex business problems.
• Implement new functionalities and ETL processes to modernize the analytic platform.
• Ensure delivery meets integrity, quality, performance, and reliability requirements using DevOps principles and automated testing.
• Support existing applications and resolve technical issues.
• Perform code reviews for technical consultants and oversee their work.
• Coordinate infrastructure needs for Unix/Windows servers, cloud-based infrastructure, and databases.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Python experience in application development.
• 5+ years of RDBMS experience (Oracle, Postgres, or SQL Server).
• 5+ years of experience in Linux environments, including command line and shell scripting.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
• DevOps experience with Bitbucket and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, microservices architecture, and multi-threading.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Tableau and PowerBI implementation.
• Strong development experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with SAS, Talend, or Spark.
