Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance backend services and APIs that enable rapid testing of new trading features and experiences
• Architect and maintain systems for personalization engines, recommendation algorithms, and other data-driven features
• Partner with product managers and frontend engineers to pilot initiatives that aim to improve or expand Kalshi’s platform

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• 4+ years of hands-on software development
• Strong command of programming languages such as Golang or Java
• Strong knowledge of REST API design and development
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Proven track record of taking initiative in fast-paced environments
• Ability to refine loose requirements into clear technical specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting low-latency, dynamic interfaces using Websockets or event-based infrastructure
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks
• History with day trading stocks, futures, or options
