Bretton runs AI-native operations for the financial back office. OCC, Fed and FDIC regulated banks use Bretton AI to run compliance, risk, fraud, and operations on one platform, on their own data and policies, with every output traced, cited, and audit-ready.

Responsibilities

• Develop intuitive interfaces for case management, reporting, and analytics
• Build document analysis and verification systems
• Build agentic workflows that coordinate AI tools and data services to perform research, enrichment, and verification
• Create tools that help customers configure and customize their compliance workflows
• Own substantial features from conception to production

Requirements

• 4+ years (Engineer) / 6+ years (Sr. Engineer) / 8+ years (Staff Engineer) of experience building production software
• Strong full-stack capabilities including backend services, APIs, and databases
• Track record of shipping customer-facing products where reliability is critical
• End-to-end ownership mindset from requirements gathering through deployment
• Clear communication skills and product thinking

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building workflow engines, orchestration systems, or process automation tools
• Experience in regulated industries where compliance and auditability are critical
• Integrating AI/LLM capabilities into production applications
• Creating configuration systems or workflow builders for non-technical users
• Designing systems for multi-tenancy or complex authorization models
