Software Engineer, Privacy Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Design and operate data storage pipelines that can operate at scale
• Build search & discovery services including Spark/Databricks, index layers, and metadata catalogs
• Automate secure data transfers through encryption, checksumming, and auditing
• Stand up locked-down compute environments that balance usability with security controls
• Instrument monitoring and KPIs to maintain accountability of data holds and productions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to codify SOPs, threat models, and chain-of-custody documentation

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building or operating large-scale data-lake or backup systems (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proficiency with Terraform or Pulumi and CI/CD
• Experience with discovery workflows such as legal holds or enterprise document collections
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical teams like Legal
• Proven track record of shipping secure solutions that balance speed, cost, and defensibility
