Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of development tasks end-to-end across backend services, data pipelines, and AWS infrastructure
• Write production code using Python and SQL for ETL pipelines, backend services, and API integrations
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure including Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, and SQS
• Use AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenAI Codex to accelerate development workflows
• Query and model data using relational databases and manage schema design
• Collaborate through code reviews, architecture discussions, and clear technical communication

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python for scripting, backend services, and data processing
• Fluency with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
• Strong SQL skills including complex joins, window functions, and CTEs
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, SQS, CloudFormation)
• Experience with relational database design, migrations, and debugging
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical decisions to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Node.js
• Background in fintech, lending, or payments industries
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK)
• Familiarity with Nortridge Loan Software (NLS)
