Software Engineer - Platform

Responsibilities

• Drive cross-team platform initiatives and facilitate alignment across the Engineering organization
• Build and evolve self-service platform capabilities and "Golden Paths" to reduce developer cognitive load
• Mentor engineers and stakeholders while setting high-bar engineering standards (SOLID, DDD)
• Treat the platform as a product with active roadmap involvement and iterative UX improvements
• Optimize org-wide instrumentation for metrics, logs, and traces using OpenTelemetry
• Evolve AI platform capabilities, including AI gateway services and governance patterns
• Collaborate with Security and Cloud Infrastructure teams to ensure secure and resilient platform patterns
• Shape the platform's reliability strategy, including SLO/SLI and incident response

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong programming skills, with Python experience strongly preferred
• Experience building internal platforms, shared services, or developer tooling
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with relational and NoSQL data stores
• Proficiency working in a Unix shell
• Passion for CI/CD and shipping well-engineered code
• Degree in Computer Science or a STEM field preferred
