Software Engineer, Platform (Runtime)

Responsibilities

• Own the app hosting and deployment pipeline serving user applications in production
• Manage and operate composable managed services for storage, logging, and workflows
• Build and maintain custom domains infrastructure, including SSL provisioning and DNS management
• Drive vendor evaluation, onboarding, and migration processes
• Establish operational excellence practices including monitoring, alerting, and incident response

Requirements

• Experience building and operating distributed systems
• 6+ years of experience in running and developing systems
• Strong background in platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure operations
• Deep understanding of multitenant app hosting, container orchestration, or edge runtimes
• Experience with vendor management and service evaluation
• Operational mindset focused on uptime, latency, and cost-per-request

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building massively multitenant control planes
• Experience operating Cloudflare Workers, Pages, R2, or D1 at scale
• Contributions to cloud infrastructure or CNCF projects like Kubernetes, Wasm, or Envoy
• Familiarity with ClickHouse or columnar databases for log analytics
• Experience with managed database services like Supabase, Neon, or AWS Aurora
• Proven experience in infrastructure cost optimization
