Software Engineer - Planning

Responsibilities

• Develop state-of-the-art onroad behavior software and leverage ML components for highway and city driving
• Design and implement high-performance planning modules for autonomous navigation
• Leverage lightweight map data and perception system outputs to determine driving costs
• Deploy planning modules to production hardware and conduct on-road testing
• Collaborate with customer engineers to manage technical relationships and requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience building production software using modern software practices
• Proven experience developing planning solutions for autonomous vehicles or mobile robots
• Proficiency in writing modern, high-performance C++ code
• Experience shipping code specifically for robotics or autonomous systems

Preferred Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics with research experience in planning
• Experience writing safety-critical C++ software
• Hands-on experience developing and testing planning algorithms on physical autonomous vehicles
