Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and other engineers to implement high-quality solutions
• Design, build, test, and release new features for the Perpay platform
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, breaking contributions into reviewable chunks
• Contribute to the engineering design process by providing technical trade-offs and opinions
• Identify and reduce technical debt to improve developer experience and team velocity
• Participate in the on-call rotation and coordinate incident responses

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships or co-ops)
• Strong proficiency in backend frameworks such as Django or Flask
• Experience with frontend technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable web applications
• Solid understanding of database design and management
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with TypeScript and React Native
