Software Engineer P2P

Responsibilities

• Build a next-generation peer-to-peer search stack designed for resilient, decentralized search without a centralized index.
• Develop self-organizing, unstoppable search engines for diverse data types including text, images, chats, and locations.
• Write high-performance, highly concurrent networking code.
• Conduct network protocol testing, evaluation, and optimization.
• Implement decentralized architectures using a truly peer-to-peer approach.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Node.js.
• Deep understanding of P2P systems and Kademlia DHT.
• Experience with distributed indexing (e.g., skip graphs, prefix hash trees, locality sensitive hashing).
• Knowledge of distributed databases and CRDTs.
• Expertise in networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, transport-layer reliability, multiplexing, NAT traversal, and encryption.
• Familiarity with classical Information Retrieval (IR) topics such as ranking algorithms, lexical vs. semantic search, and inverted indices.
• Experience with the Holepunch stack (hyperdht, hyperswarm, hypercore, hyperbee, hyperdrive, udx-native) is a significant plus.
