Northwood is a modern space infrastructure company bringing the benefits of space to the masses through advanced communications technology. We are building a global network of phased array ground stations that enable real-time, reliable communication for satellite missions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize global services for connectivity
• Develop control systems for ground station hardware and embedded systems
• Architect high-bandwidth data pipelines and SD-WAN capabilities
• Design distributed systems for cloud and on-premises orchestration
• Build robust APIs, scalable data backends, and intuitive front-end interfaces
• Create monitoring, alerting, and global telemetry solutions
• Develop production line software and automated testing procedures
• Create simulations for satellite and network design

Requirements

• 0-2 years of professional software development experience (including internships or personal projects)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or a related major
• Proficiency in one or more languages such as Rust, Golang, Haskell, or C/C++
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems or high-performance computing
• Interest in exploring various programming languages for specific applications
