Software Engineer, Monetization Product & Platform

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale core infrastructure for OpenAI’s monetization and ads products
• Develop advertiser-facing APIs and tools for the creation, management, and measurement of ads
• Architect distributed systems and services that operate at massive scale with high reliability and privacy guarantees
• Drive 0→1 product development through rapid prototyping, experimentation, and iterative deployment
• Collaborate with Product, Research, and Design to translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions
• Maintain high engineering rigor through strong testing, documentation, and operational best practices

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building high-scale consumer, enterprise, or ads-related systems
• Proven track record of architecting and delivering complex distributed systems
• Ability to navigate ambiguous product spaces and contribute to long-term technical roadmaps
• Strong product intuition and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Experience working in 0→1 environments where systems must be defined from scratch

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ads systems, marketplaces, or other monetization-heavy domains
