Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities within an Agile development team
• Turn Agile user stories into implementable concepts through development, unit testing, and deployment
• Implement robust testing leveraging DevOps automation and Behavior-driven Development (BDD)
• Analyze complex system requirements and use design software tools and formal specifications
• Provide software process management and promote code reuse and cross-program collaboration
• Engineer, author, tune, and document automation scripts for development and production environments

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI with NSA CI Poly
• Demonstrated experience with Java
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Data, JEE, Jackson, Jersey, Swing, or JavaFX
• Experience with multiple languages including JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, or SQL
• Experience with development IDEs like Eclipse, VS Code, or Visual Studio
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server
• Experience with Web Application UI development and technologies like AngularJS, JSON, HTML, or XML
• Experience with software source control and configuration management tools
• Documented professional experience with web services
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-moving team

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with application servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss
• Familiarity with Containers such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, or Cucumber
• Experience with build tools such as Maven, CMake, Jenkins, or Nexus
• Experience with cryptographic systems and secure software development
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
