Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate backend services and APIs for the Moloco Ads Manager
• Own features end-to-end from technical design through launch and iteration
• Partner with Product, UX, Data, and ML teams to build scalable product experiences
• Integrate with data pipelines to deliver campaign performance and operational health reporting
• Improve system reliability, performance, and observability through testing and monitoring

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 4+ years of experience for Engineer II or 8+ years for Senior Engineer
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Kotlin, C++, or Python
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., BigQuery, Bigtable, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building advertiser-facing tools or analytics dashboards
• Deep understanding of digital advertising/AdTech and performance metrics
• Familiarity with GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Kafka, or Beam/Spark
• Experience working with data pipelines, schemas, and SLIs/SLOs
• Experience mentoring engineers (for senior roles)
