About the Company

Meter is building the infrastructure to allow networks to be managed autonomously. By capturing the reasoning of expert network engineers, Meter is creating the data pipelines necessary for models to learn complex network diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Build the system that captures diagnostic reasoning from network engineers to create training data for ML models.
• Develop a structured, queryable record of network states, expert observations, and decision-making processes.
• Ship an annotation interface that allows engineers to log reasoning against historical support tickets and network telemetry.
• Map and integrate data from various sources including ClickHouse, Postgres, and Salesforce.
• Partner with research engineers to ensure the data pipeline meets ML training requirements.

Requirements

• Experience building end-to-end backend systems and making significant architectural decisions.
• Strong understanding of data storage and database design.
• Deep customer empathy and a willingness to learn from domain experts (network engineers).
• Focus on user adoption and building tools that people actually want to use.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript, React, Go, GraphQL, Kafka, or Postgres.
