Software Engineer, ML Data Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Build robust data infrastructure that powers foundation models at petabyte scale
• Optimize data processing workflows for massive throughput using distributed systems and TPU infrastructure
• Partner with research scientists to translate data requirements into production-grade systems
• Ensure reliability and performance across multi-modal training pipelines
• Drive projects from 0 to 1, including scoping, execution, and iteration

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience developing and shipping large-scale distributed systems
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
• Deep understanding of databases and data storage architectures
• Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing systems
• Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with a strong bias toward action

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• Familiarity with GCP services such as Bigtable, BigQuery, Spanner, or Pub/Sub
• Experience working with Python-based backend infrastructure
