Responsibilities

• Design services and state models for multi-stage workflows involving automated processing and expert reviewers
• Build orchestration primitives including retries, failure recovery, idempotency, and auditable state transitions
• Integrate model inference into production workflows while maintaining debuggability and human oversight
• Build APIs and tooling for product, operations, and ML teams to operate and trust systems at scale
• Own reliability and observability for complex workflows

Requirements

• Production backend experience with strong system design instincts
• Fluency with distributed systems toolkits including async workflows, queues, and idempotency
• Proficiency with Python, AWS, and Postgres
• Ability to translate ambiguous product and ML constraints into clean, debuggable systems
• Experience with Temporal or similar workflow engines is a plus
