Software Engineer - Mapping and Localization

Responsibilities

• Design and implement state-of-the-art mapping and localization systems for various vehicle platforms
• Build scalable systems for local or global map construction and live data fusion
• Develop real-time onboard localization with high integrity and offboard localization methods
• Utilize diverse sensor inputs including GNSS, cameras, lidars, radars, and inertial sensors
• Improve system performance through large-scale, data-driven methods rooted in first principles

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering field
• 3+ years of experience building software components for real-world mapping and localization challenges
• Deep understanding of core localization concepts, world representations, transforms, and error analysis
• C++ programming expertise
• Ability to analyze and compare the performance of various hardware solutions for localization

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or PhD with a focus on localization, mapping, or closely related fields
• Hands-on expertise in SLAM, state estimation, non-linear optimization, or Computer Vision
• Deep understanding of state-of-the-art industry sensor solutions and production systems
• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks
