Software Engineer - Mapping and Localization

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance mapping and localization solutions for both embedded ECUs and cloud infrastructure
• Implement run-time-efficient in-vehicle software for automotive SOCs
• Build backend infrastructure for building, storing, and processing maps for ADAS/AD production functions and ML model training
• Apply automated techniques to generate maps from raw data using internal viewing and editing tools

Requirements

• MSc in mapping, localization, or a closely related field
• 3+ years of experience building software components or systems addressing real-world mapping and localization challenges
• Expertise in C++ and/or Python programming
• Deep understanding of core localization concepts, world representations, transforms, and error analysis
• Hands-on experience with software frameworks, middlewares, benchmarking suites, or algorithmic libraries
• Knowledge of analyzing and comparing the performance of various hardware solutions for localization

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in mapping, localization, or a closely related field
• Deep expertise in algorithms such as SLAM, probabilistic filtering, non-linear optimization, or computational geometry
• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks
• Experience developing on automotive SOCs and middleware
