Software Engineer, Machine Learning

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and infrastructure to build innovative application experiences
• Architect efficient and scalable systems that drive complex applications and resolve performance issues
• Develop reusable software components and implement custom user interfaces using modern programming techniques
• Lead complex technical efforts and provide guidance to peers while establishing ownership of key components
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance across various platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field
• 6+ years of programming experience or 3+ years of experience with a PhD
• Proven track record of setting technical direction and driving consensus across cross-functional partnerships
• Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing machine learning models at scale from inception to business impact
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python, JavaScript, or Hack
• Experience with recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining, or artificial intelligence
• Knowledge of developing and debugging in C/C++ and Java
• Demonstrated ability to implement responsible and ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation
