Software Engineer - Java

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of complex, distributed full stack systems to improve security, availability, and reliability.
• Set technical standards and best practices across engineering teams.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to both senior and junior engineers.
• Drive strategy to transform current platforms using modern technologies and tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and leadership to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing enterprise, cloud-native, message-driven, and containerized applications.
• Proficiency with Java 8, Spring Boot, and various Java-based frameworks (Spring Security, JDBC, Apache-Camel).
• Hands-on experience with MS Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI-CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases and version control tools like Git or Bitbucket.
• Solid understanding of Agile principles and software security tools (e.g., BlackDuck, Fortify, SonarQube).
• Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry.
• Experience implementing AI/ML capabilities into production applications.
• Hands-on experience with AI APIs and platforms such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Working knowledge of building or consuming LLM-powered features like chat, search, or summarization.
