Software Engineer, iOS

Responsibilities

• Create and refine high-performance mobile applications that push the limits of mobile technology
• Design, architect, and implement well-tested Objective-C software powering Snapchat’s camera experiences
• Conceptualize, develop, and launch new features while evaluating technical tradeoffs
• Collaborate with Design teams to implement best UI and infrastructure practices
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality, security, and correctness
• Utilize AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows to ship scalable services

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (Computer Science or equivalent)
• 2+ years of post-Bachelor software development experience
• Proven experience with iOS application development
• Strong understanding of Objective-C Runtime and underlying processes
• Proficiency in multithreading and performance optimization for iOS
• Solid CS fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Objective-C and iOS internals
• Proficiency with Swift
• Experience with C/C++
