Software Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of product solutions by utilizing a variety of systems and technologies
• Build new and enhance existing product capabilities for internal and external users
• Solve complex problems and write scalable and efficient software
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to drive product evolution
• Contribute to code reviews, technical architecture, design documentation, and technical issue resolution

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar post-secondary program
• Previous full-stack internship experience building web applications
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Ruby, or Javascript
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and code optimization
• Knowledge of scalable system design for web-based APIs and backend processing
• Experience working with relational databases and key-value stores
• Experience with test-driven development

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails, React, Redux, Material UI, Typescript, or GraphQL
• Ability to identify and tackle technical debt to ensure high code quality
