About the Company

Observe by Snowflake is an AI-powered observability platform built on the Snowflake Data Cloud. The Infrastructure team is responsible for building, scaling, and operating the development and production environments that power the observability platform.

Responsibilities

• Implement and test features in metrics processing, warehouse scheduling, and query execution
• Work on data management from ingestion to customer-defined batch-streaming
• Contribute to data processing control planes from language compilation to warehouse execution
• Develop metrics product features and enterprise-grade software

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program
• Completed BS degree, with an MS or PhD in progress
• Completed coursework in algorithms, data structures, and operating systems
• Excellent programming skills in C++ or Golang
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Systems programming skills including multi-threading and concurrency
• Fluent English language skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Math
• Coursework in Database systems, distributed systems, cloud computing, or compilers
• Research or publications in databases or distributed systems
• Open source contributions
• Experience with big data engineering, processing, and data migration
