Software Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Participate in the research of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms
• Develop solutions to improve inference efficiency on the Qualcomm Snapdragon neural network platform
• Improve machine learning prediction accuracy and deliver high-quality tasks on schedule
• Develop and optimize Android Multimedia software on Qualcomm platforms (Audio, Video, Camera, Display, and Virtual Reality)
• Develop new multimedia features for Qualcomm platforms

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one of C, C++, or Python
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and basic algorithms
• Understanding of multi-process and multi-thread programming
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong embedded programming experience in multiprocessor environments using Linux or Android
• Experience with Speech Signal Processing (noise suppression, echo cancellation, voice recognition, etc.)
• Experience with Audio/Video decoders and encoders (MP3, AAC, H264, H265, etc.)
• Knowledge of V4L2, image sensors, ISP, and image tuning
• Familiarity with computer vision algorithms (Optical Flow, Depth From Stereo, Feature Point Extraction, SLAM, etc.)
• Experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Caffe
