Software Engineer, Integrity Foundations

Responsibilities

• Design and build scaled foundational systems used in the detection, tracking, and enforcement of harm using OpenAI technologies.
• Collaborate with policy, trust and safety operations, legal, and investigations teams to combat abusive actors.
• Leverage advanced AI technologies to automate and augment the ability to detect and reason about complex harms.
• Work closely with technical and non-technical experts to inform system designs and implementations.
• Stay abreast of the latest techniques and tools to stay ahead of determined and well-resourced adversaries.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in backend and data systems.
• 2+ years of experience in trust and safety analysis, investigation, and/or operations.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
• Strong ability to dive into complex codebases and provide high-level engineering suggestions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Machine Learning techniques.
