Software Engineer Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach Sunday-Thursday, 9am-5pm (local time) for the 12-week program duration
• Work with co-instructors and teaching assistants to provide meaningful student feedback
• Adapt global curriculum and build custom lesson plans as needed
• Guide students through the development of major projects and a final capstone
• Facilitate a safe, supportive, and energetic classroom community
• Commit several hours per week to lesson preparation and student support

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working on a software development team
• Working experience in both front-end and back-end development
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS
• Strong fluency in full-stack JavaScript
• Experience with at least one JS MV* framework (React, Angular, or Backbone)
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB or Redis)
• Proficiency in at least one additional object-oriented language (Ruby or Python preferred)
