Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Architect efficient and scalable systems that drive complex applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and operations to build innovative experiences
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues while driving efforts to reduce technical debt
• Set direction and goals for teams, lead major initiatives, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers
• Establish ownership of components, features, or systems with expert end-to-end understanding

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of programming experience in a relevant language OR 4+ years of experience with a PhD
• Demonstrated experience driving change within an organization and leading complex technical projects
• Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience building large-scale infrastructure applications
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Java, and scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, or Hack
• Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, testing, monitoring, and proactive changes
• Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices
