Software Engineer - Infrastructure & DevOps

Responsibilities

• Be a founding member of the Infrastructure & Security team, responsible for platform reliability, security posture, and compliance readiness
• Own ongoing SOC 2 Type II compliance, implementing security controls and working with auditors
• Design and implement comprehensive observability systems including logging, monitoring, alerting, and distributed tracing
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code
• Optimize system performance, latency, and cost efficiency
• Manage AWS cloud infrastructure including networking, security groups, and IAM policies

Requirements

• Strong experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM)
• Proven track record implementing security frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
• Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and encryption
• Experience with observability platforms (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with secrets management and encryption at rest/in transit
• Familiarity with penetration testing and vulnerability scanning
• Experience with disaster recovery planning
• Experience in fintech or early-stage technology companies
• Experience working in Kotlin backends
• Experience with Temporal for asynchronous workflow orchestration
