Responsibilities
- Own the foundational cloud and networking layer, including network foundations and container orchestration
- Manage edge and security infrastructure, including rate limiting and traffic routing
- Drive cost management, attribution systems, and optimization strategies
- Design geo-deployment architecture for deploying services across cloud regions and providers
- Unify the compute platform through an opinionated container orchestration strategy
- Build and operate production Kubernetes clusters with service mesh, scaling, and ingress
Requirements
- Deep experience with AWS or comparable cloud providers (VPC networking, EKS/K8s, IAM)
- Experience building and operating production Kubernetes clusters at scale
- Understanding of edge networking, CDN/WAF architectures, and traffic management
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and reproducibility
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
