Software Engineer in Security

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate technical security features and controls into the web application and internal administration platforms
• Implement and maintain AWS security controls, including IAM, encryption, backups, logging, monitoring, and alerting
• Securely orchestrate customer jobs and data across cloud and HPC environments
• Build and respond to alerts from security logs covering both cloud and on-premises hardware
• Deploy and manage vulnerability scanning tooling and collaborate with developers to triage and remediate findings
• Fix and validate remediations of penetration test findings
• Harden and secure on-premises HPC infrastructure
• Maintain and improve compliance tooling integrations and drive remediation efforts

Requirements

• Strong hands-on engineering experience in backend software engineering, DevOps/Infrastructure engineering, or Security engineering
• Experience securing cloud environments, ideally AWS
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Experience deploying or working with CI/CD pipelines
• Working knowledge of application and infrastructure security fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building NIST 800-171 or NIST 800-53 compliance frameworks
• Experience with compliance automation platforms
• Deep expertise in AWS security services
