Software Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain individual AI agents using LangChain and LangGraph
• Develop and expose agent capabilities via FastAPI endpoints
• Implement RAG pipelines including chunking, retrieval, and vector search
• Integrate MCP tools into agent workflows
• Write evaluation tests and monitor agent performance
• Collaborate with senior engineers on agent design and deployment

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience building software in Python
• Proficiency in Python (typing, async, packaging)
• Working knowledge of LangChain and LangGraph
• Experience building and exposing endpoints with FastAPI
• Understanding of prompt engineering and LLM basics (tokens, context windows, embeddings)
• Knowledge of RAG fundamentals (chunking, vector search, retrieval)
• Proficiency with Git and REST/JSON
• Exposure to ML libraries such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, NumPy, and Pandas
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure platforms (Functions, App Service, or Foundry)
• Knowledge of Azure Agent Framework
• Experience with MCP tool consumption
• Experience with agent evaluation (golden sets, regression tests)
• Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and vector stores (Azure AI Search, Pinecone)
• Experience with frontend frameworks like Angular or React
