Software Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute secure, scalable software solutions and technical troubleshooting within an agile environment.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
• Create high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met.
• Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify patterns and drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore emerging technologies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including IAM, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, or documentation, including the ability to validate AI-generated outputs.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies (CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security).
• Experience developing and maintaining code within a large corporate environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and caching solutions.
• Understanding of secure coding, logging, and monitoring best practices.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Mainframe technologies like COBOL or Assembler.
