Software Engineer III - Java

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build scalable solutions.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms for synchronous system operations.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met.
• Analyze large, diverse data sets to develop visualizations and reporting for continuous system improvement.
• Proactively identify patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore emerging technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Core Java and frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, JMS, and Cucumber.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, caching, multithreading, messaging, and asynchronous communication.
• Proficiency with Internet technologies such as REST and/or Web Services/SOA.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS/SQL, specifically Oracle and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and continuous integration/automated deployment.
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket source control.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
