Software Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end features using Angular and TypeScript
• Contribute to server-side development using Node.js and Express
• Participate in the design and implementation of RESTful APIs
• Write high-quality, testable code following engineering best practices
• Diagnose and resolve bugs and performance issues across the full stack
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards
• Collaborate with a distributed team across different time zones
• Support junior engineers through informal mentorship and pairing
• Contribute to technical discussions, planning, and estimation activities

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Angular 8+, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS and MariaDB or equivalent relational databases
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence
• Strong understanding of modern front-end and back-end development practices
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong communication skills for working with distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UI/UX collaboration
• Experience working in an education-focused or content-heavy product environment
• Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) or unit testing best practices
