Software Engineer III - Backend

Suki is a leading technology company providing AI voice solutions for healthcare. Its mission is to reimagine the healthcare technology stack, making it invisible and assistive to lift the administrative burden from clinicians through its flagship product, Suki Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Build and own highly scalable distributed services at the core of the product
• Implement microservices-based architecture using Golang and Python
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and high standards of code quality
• Build and integrate LLM-powered features including RAG, tool calling, and agentic workflows
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate shipping while maintaining engineering standards

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of professional experience
• Strong product development experience in building distributed systems and microservices
• Strong programming skills on Linux using Go
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and concurrent programming
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to collaborate with geographically distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with gRPC, gRPC context, and Protocol Buffers
• Experience with infrastructure and systems engineering on GCP
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs (prompting, RAG, agents, or evaluation)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding in a professional workflow
