Software Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Build core features and functions of card transaction systems on a distributed platform deployed in a hybrid cloud environment
• Act as a core member of an agile team driving development practices, writing code, unit tests, and working with API specifications
• Utilize Java technologies including Vertx, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Boot, and RESTful microservices
• Collaborate with peer technology and development teams across different global locations
• Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies and work with stakeholders to analyze requirements
• Lead a culture of innovation and experimentation within an outcome-oriented environment

Requirements

• Computer Science degree or equivalent industry experience
• 5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Java or Go with a deep understanding of building highly performant systems
• Strong knowledge of OOPs concepts, concurrency, data structures, and algorithms
• Hands-on experience building distributed micro-service systems and cloud-native applications
• Experience with NoSQL databases and distributed messaging systems (e.g., Redis, Kafka, Cassandra)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
• Experience working in DevOps teams and Scrum environments
