Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into well-designed, maintainable software
• Collaborate with Product Management, UX, Security Research, and Data Science teams
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain application features across APIs, backend services, databases, and UI components
• Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews
• Debug issues and improve reliability of production services
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to support data flows

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 1+ year of Python development experience or strong backend language experience
• Experience building or maintaining REST APIs
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with automated testing, debugging, and documentation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python frameworks like Django, Flask, FastAPI, or Celery
• Familiarity with OpenAPI, Swagger, or REST API contract design
• Experience with containers or Kubernetes
• Exposure to authentication concepts like OAuth, OIDC, IAM, or SAML
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted engineering tools
• Interest in analytical or Lakehouse databases like Snowflake or Iceberg
