Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Support Total Leave teams through Fineos configuration, Java-based enhancements, and ecosystem integration
• Design, code, configure, and maintain software deliverables using industry standards
• Estimate, implement, and maintain new and existing features within the business portfolio
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, UX designers, and Test Engineers to ensure high-quality feature delivery
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint retrospectives, and code reviews
• Automate software testing and leverage continuous integration techniques to ensure system stability
• Research and evaluate third-party and cloud technologies to modernize solution capabilities

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development
• Strong Java development skills, including J2EE technologies (JSP, JMS) and integrations (Web Services, APIs)
• Experience with Fineos Admin Suite (Claims) configurations and Java customizations
• Proficiency with relational databases such as Oracle or MS SQL, including strong SQL query skills
• Experience working within Agile Development Methodologies
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent relevant business experience
