Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deliver, and own full-lifecycle software from inception to production
• Drive complex changes involving multiple components within a distributed system
• Deliver high-quality changes including automated tests, metrics, and monitoring
• Collaborate with team members to implement and maintain product features
• Guide and review changes to product features in line with product roadmaps
• Validate changes to ensure high-quality product releases
• Lead others through example, mentorship, and participation in hiring activities

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development or engineering experience
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: C#, Java, C, C++, Python, SQL, or Scala
• Solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals
• Experience working with distributed systems
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant engineering field (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with database engines such as Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, AeroSpike, Vertica, or Redis
• Experience building micro-services
• Knowledge of operating systems, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, or Kafka
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Perforce
