Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications ranging from servlet-based monolithic web applications to microservices and reactive APIs
• Perform large-scale ETL workflows and data transformation
• Integrate ETL outputs with reporting and analytics systems using Java and JavaScript
• Automate and optimize data pipelines through scheduled Bash and Python scripts
• Administer Linux servers, including job scheduling and log monitoring
• Utilize schema design, data normalization, and SQL query optimization for scalable pipelines
• Monitor, debug, and validate end-to-end data flows to ensure accuracy
• Apply data analysis and anomaly-detection techniques for fraud detection and risk scoring
• Develop analytics and anomaly-detection dashboards
• Participate in technical design discussions to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
• Two years of experience in large-scale ETL workflows and data transformation
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, Python, and Microsoft Excel
• Experience developing Java and JavaScript based web applications, including Node.js
• Experience with Bash scripting and Linux server administration
• Knowledge of schema design, indexing strategies, and SQL query optimization
