Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain streaming services that ingest, process, and deliver real-time vehicle and cloud data
• Contribute to the design of scalable and fault-tolerant systems using Kafka, Flink, Redpanda, and Databricks
• Optimize data flows for low latency and high reliability through tuning and automation
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested production-grade code
• Support deployment and monitoring using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Partner with data engineers, platform teams, and product stakeholders to deliver end-to-end streaming capabilities

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Exposure to real-time data systems
• Experience with streaming technologies like Apache Kafka, Redpanda, Apache Flink, Amazon Kinesis, or Databricks DLT
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Scala, or Go
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Familiarity with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building distributed or event-driven systems in production
• Understanding of schema-based serialization (Avro, Protobuf, JSON)
• Familiarity with gRPC, REST, or WebSocket APIs
• Experience with observability stacks like Prometheus and Grafana
• Interest in edge-to-cloud data pipelines and real-time analytics in the EV or IoT space
