Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Assist with the requirements design, development, and testing of software features across Linux services, microservices, REST APIs, and UI components
• Develop and maintain software in a multi-language, full-stack environment using C++, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Lua, C#, or Python
• Implement updates and enhancements to existing components to improve performance, maintainability, and reliability
• Participate in internal design reviews, code reviews, and test readiness reviews
• Contribute to testing frameworks, unit testing, and CI/CD-driven software integration
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Integration & Test teams to ensure proper alignment

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant software development experience
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, Lua, C#, or Python
• Experience working within a team-based Agile development environment
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded programming
• Exposure to C5I/Command-and-Control environments or HMI development
• Familiarity with large, complex defense systems
• Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills
