Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain testing frameworks for on-vehicle software and cloud-based services
• Design, develop, and maintain hardware test stands for vehicle subsystems
• Maintain continuous integration (CI) pipelines with an emphasis on reliability, speed, and cost effectiveness
• Partner with hardware and software teams to develop internal software tooling
• Contribute to regulatory documentation, including software traceability and test protocols
• Lead technical projects and ensure milestones are achieved

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, JS, etc.)
• Proficiency in systems programming languages (C++, Rust)
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) and software-in-the-loop (SITL) simulations
• Working proficiency with Linux and the software test/build/deploy lifecycle
• Experience leading technical design and mentoring engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building test software or internal tooling for hard tech products
• Experience in safety-critical domains (autonomous vehicles, industrial control, or aerospace)
• Knowledge of rail control systems
• Experience with polyglot codebases
