Software Engineer II (Mobile Developer - Android/Kotlin)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features and fixes to the Android SDK
• Pitch in on other mobile SDKs including iOS, React Native, Expo, and Flutter
• Contribute to backend services, infrastructure, and embedded web UI
• Diagnose and resolve SDK issues reported by customers
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code and design reviews
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure cross-platform consistency
• Contribute to documentation, sample apps, and integration guides

Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional Android development experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin
• Experience shipping and maintaining production Android code
• Solid grasp of Android lifecycle, threading, and Gradle
• Experience with testing practices including unit, integration, and instrumentation
• Familiarity with CI/CD for mobile
• Ability to work in-office in Boston five days per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or maintaining an SDK or library
• Exposure to iOS/Swift or backend services
• Familiarity with push notification or messaging systems
• Contributions to open source projects
